Get Ready, Get Set & Get Fit!

Staying physically active is important for people of all ages. Teaching kids about the importance of physical activity and showing them how to have FUN while being active can have health benefits for their entire life! Getting the recommended amount of daily physical activity will build muscle and strong bones, strengthen your heart, prevent diseases and help you maintain a healthy weight.

GOAL: 60 minutes of physical activity a day!

Get kids active EVERYDAY!

GOAL: No more than 2 hours of screen time a day

Screen time includes television, computer time, video and hand-held games. When you add texting and talking on the phone, kids between the ages of 8 and 18 get about 7 1/2 hours of media time a day. Limiting this to only 2 hours a day has been shown to be one of the best ways to maintain a healthy weight.
